I honestly don’t mean to sound patronizing in any way, but you are confusing facts with speculation. It is a fact that on June 12, the US government forced a private company to shut down an active AI model based on the users’ passports. It is a fact that this precedent has just been set. It is also a fact that artificial intelligence was trained on the collective, global heritage of humanity, not on knowledge owned by a single nation. I am not speculating about “what if.” I am calling out exactly what just happened and the logic behind it. If closing your eyes to the facts and pretending nothing happened helps you sleep better, that is your choice. But the world has just witnessed the blueprint of a new reality. Philip
