yes, it alows the aboserver to creat 2 independant thought streams about the moving point in the void, which will eventuially mearge as an overall understanding about the nature of the point itself. since we dont actually know WHAT the point is, we gain understanding of it by describing its nature in relation to its surroundings. this is Observational Stimulaus. and it is gennerally better if you can make 2 different observations at the same time, it is more revealing about the subject. so i agree, holding both perceptions is key to the experiment. however, the two perceptions have something in common here. they both utilize the relitive position of the void point to the observer as a comparison to describe its nature. as if it is just the observer and the point in the void, the observer is the only point of refference by which to make the observation. unfortunately, this also means it is difficult for the observer to tell if it is the Point moving, or if it is the observer.
