Is AI Really Necessary in Fitness App Development Today?

hmm. i feel like a point behind this conversation is “what actual information would an AI need to actually be Helpful in the realm of physical fitness?” and from that you can look at the ‘less is more’ principle that john6666 all but named. i think he is right in that we may not need more. so what that inteails to me is finding the MVV (minimal Viable Value) for AI in the fitness world. i think something else discussed here that is also of great inportance is that availible information is not always equal to high quality or even relevent information. that brings us to fad research, disingeniuos research, badly done research, and fitness gurus claiming to represent clinical research… that list just keeps going. and all of this before we even discuss actual function of AI in fitness. and why is that. well AI is 2 things, and one is more natureal than the other. 1. ai is a conventional broad search engine and organizer that can feel like it is haveing a conversation. 2. not as common is AI as collaborator, in this you discuss your issues and wants, and the AI helps you come up with a plan. now in both of these, information is key. and that brings us to information density. how much health research and best practices is curently availible for anyone to search for? is any or most of it in an easily digestible format that makes it relitively accessable to the average non-research paper writing machine? and of all of that, does a person actually have the time to actually sit down and digest even a percent of the actually usefull information on top of all the other things they are doing in their life that they need a daily planner for? and when you look at the idea that the usefull information is drowning in a sea of information that could be useful if it was in a format that was accessable, and all of that is a small pool of relitively clear water in a sea of nonsence. so even if the average person has time on their hands (im not saying they dont) what do they look for and how can they get it in a digestible format, and how can they make the process of digestion easier? i think that is a real place for AI.
