I’ve looked into this type of situation using perturbations and phi gravitating oscillations to simulate homeostatic drivers. The results were good but felt a bit dark. Basically add friction potential within the actual save state and use apertures to disrupt the ai ability to complete tasks coherently unless the driver is satisfied.
