GPT-5.4 API Providers Comparison: OpenRouter vs Azure vs OpenAI Direct (2026)

Honestly. Latency is meaningless unless your net connection is crap. I use Codex about 12-16 hours per day everyday. I’ve tried every provider. I found all but one to be completely inadequate. When complicated architecture is required I use GPT Pro to compile what ever plan I need for something and then I use Codex to do all of the coding. As for pricing you also left out OpenAI has currently got a really good deal going. They’ve giving 2 x tokens for credits at the moment until April 4th.
