Megaman In SRB2

So I was trawling through the old SRB2.org websites on archive.org when I stumbled upon Mega Man as a playable character in addition to the usual trio back then. This was right when the site opened so I am unsure if it was an April Fools Joke or what have you. If it was official is there an archived version? EDIT: I forgot the date but the one archive prior to this one I think was the black background with the SRB2 title screen photo and under it a blue hyperlink that says "ENTER"
