Oakland County honors hundreds for service, including deputy who rescued resident from burning home

The ceremony, held in honor of National Police Week, National Peace Officers Day and Police Memorial Day, featured a 21-gun salute from the Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard and renditions of “Taps” and “Amazing Grace” to honor law enforcement officers who died the previous year.
