  "textContent": "\n\n\nThe US has punished Iran with \"powerful strikes\" against Iran in retaliation to ceasefire violations.\n\nUS Central Command (Centcom) said the strikes were in response to Iranian strikes in the Strait of Hormuz on commercial shipping vessels.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nIranian state media said five explosions have been heard in the south of the country, near the crucial waterway.\n\nCentcom said it would \"impose heavy costs for targeting and attacking commercial shipping crewed by innocent civilians in an international waterway\".\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nTRENDING\n\nStories\n\nVideos\n\nYour Say\n\n\"The US strikes are in response to Iranian attacks on three commercial vessels that were transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
