Ms Routledge herself died last year at the age of 96.
Ms Dawson's career in entertainment stretched across three decades before she stepped away from the spotlight.
She launched her professional life on the West End stage, performing in numerous musicals.
Television roles followed, with appearances in the 1960s police drama Dixon of Dock Green and later The Benny Hill Show and The Kenny Everett Video Show.
Her stint as Violet in Keeping Up Appearances lasted four episodes, with her character frequently described by Hyacinth as "the one with the Mercedes, sauna and room for a pony."
Following the sitcom's conclusion in 1995, Ms Dawson retired from acting entirely.
She and her husband, John Boulter, relocated to New Zealand after her retirement, settling in a retirement village in the Russell community, where they resided in Okiato and Tapeka.
Mr Boulter, who found fame as a soloist on the BBC's long-running variety programme The Black and White Minstrel Show, died in December 2025 at the age of 94.
