Three men dead after fire in west London

Three men have died in a fire in west London, the London Fire Brigade (LFB) said.

Emergency services first responded to calls at 6.52pm on Saturday to a fire in White City, London.

Two men were declared at the scene on New Zealand Way.

The third was taken to hospital for further treatment, but was later declared dead, the fire brigade said.

Assistant Commissioner Pat Goulbourne, speaking from the scene, said: "The fire involved a single storey pavilion, with just over half of the structure damaged by the fire."

Crew from North Kensington, Acton, Chiswick, and surrounding fire stations were called to the scene.

LFB said it received 19 calls related to the fire.

The fire was brought under control at 9.25pm on Saturday, the LFB added.

Emergency services, including fire investigation officers and the Metropolitan Police service are now investigating the fire, Mr Goulbourne said.

Earlier on Saturday at 7.48pm, the fire service said ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters were responding to the scene.

Later, a further five fire engines and 30 firefighters were called to the scene.

Video taken in White City showed engines driving near large office buildings.

Large numbers of firefighters and police officers were seen standing inside a park to respond to the fire.

White City, London, is home to the Television Centre, used by both the BBC and ITV.

It is also home to the large shopping centre Westfield London.

In September 2025, fire crews were called to blaze at the Helios Building at Television Centre - which had been converted into flats and a restaurant.

Nearby buildings were evacuated and two 32-metre turntable ladders were used last year.

One resident of the flats described the 2025 smoke as "really quite thick".

Just last week, the LFB responded to a huge fire at a Bermondsey recycling centre.

And last month, LFB were called to a fire in Battersea.
