"textContent": "\n\n\nIn today's GB News Daily Reflection, we remember that the Gospel of Matthew shows that the followers of Jesus Christ are called to share a message of peace, welcome, and goodwill.\n\nThey must also accept that not everyone will receive it and maintain their inner peace regardless of rejection.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n\"Jesus Christ, when he commissioned his disciples to go into the world, had a message of love for them to take. Far and wide.\n\n\"But what were they to expect would happen on the journey? In Matthew chapter ten, Jesus says, whatever town or village you enter, search there for some worthy person and stay at their house until you leave.\n\n\"As you enter the home, give it your greeting. They go with love. They go with greetings. If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it. They go with the mission of peace.\n\n\"But if anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n\"It's a striking thought that Christian disciples are called to go with peace. Go with greetings. Go with welcome to anyone who would listen.\n\n\"But Jesus says here, it may not always go well. And amazingly for his disciples, their peace is not captive to how other people respond. He says if they don't welcome you, let your peace return to you.\n\nIt's an amazing thought to be able to go out into the world with peace, but not be a victim of circumstances of rejection.\n\n\"The encouragement here for Christian disciples is God has good news for us to take to the world.
