Zia Yusuf has delivered his snap reaction after it was revealed that small boat migrants had been planted in a BBC Question Time audience to confront him.

“It was one of the most surreal, insane, outrageous things I've seen,” the Reform UK Home Affairs Spokesman said.

He was speaking to GB News after it emerged that a charity had helped place Channel migrants in the audience of an immigration-themed edition of the primetime debate show.

“I don't know what's next for the BBC,” Mr Yusuf continued.

He quipped that, following the announcement of the Chancellor’s budget, the broadcaster might “get some convicted bank robbers to come on and give them their perspective”.

“It was one of the most insane things I've ever seen.”

“I'm afraid at this point you should assume everything you see on the BBC is simply proper open borders propaganda from some so-called charity,” Mr Yusuf claimed.

“It's an absolute disgrace, and it beggars belief.”
