Facebook and Instagram are DOWN: Social networks not working in UK, as users struggle to open app and website

Facebook and Instagram are down for millions in a global outage.

Users are experiencing issues loading the main apps, websites, and Facebook Messenger.

According to downforeveryoneorjustme, over 21,000 users have reported issues with Facebook loading. The online site is also saying that over 9,000 users have reported errors with Instagram.

Those who are attempting to access the Meta-owned platforms are being met with answers such as "an unexpected error occurred or "something went wrong."

Andy Stone, Meta's Vice President of Communications, has responded to the outage, saying: "We're aware people are currently having trouble accessing our services. We're working on it."
