"textContent": "\n\n\nA small boat migrant child abuser is on the run after a grooming gang of two men, an Iraqi and an Iranian, have been found guilty of a range of sexual offences against young Barnsley girls in Doncaster.\n\nBawan Hawre, 28, and Sharam Muhamadi, 20, abused the girls who were aged between 12 and 16 across three months in 2024.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nThe pair were found guilty after a four-week trial at Sheffield Crown Court in which jurors heard that the pair offered girls e-cigarettes, money, alcohol and drugs as incentives for their campaign of abuse and rape.\n\nAfter luring the girls on social media, they facilitated their transport between Barnsley and Doncaster for the purpose of abuse.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nTRENDING\n\nStories\n\nVideos\n\nYour Say\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nThe girls were given alcohol and drugs before being raped by Hawre.\n\nHawre was found guilty of six counts of arranging or facilitating travel of another person with a view of exploitation, one count of rape of a girl under 13, four counts of rape of a girl aged 13/14/15, two counts of adult meeting a girl under 16 years of age following grooming, and two counts of false imprisonment.\n\nHe pleaded guilty to one count of rape of a girl under 13 before the trial.\n\nOne count of rape of a girl aged 13/14/15 was dropped during court proceedings.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nMuhamadi was found guilty of two counts of arranging or facilitating travel of another person with a view of exploitation.\n\nHe was found not guilty of one count of rape of a girl under 13, one count of rape of a girl aged 13/14/15 and two counts of arranging or facilitating travel of another person with a view of exploitation.\n\nA charge of sexual assault on a female was dropped during court proceedings.\n\nHarwe and Muhamadi listened to proceedings with support from a Kurdish Sorani interpreter as the court heard that the pair abused the girls using force, submission and a lack of consent due to alcohol and drugs.\n\n### LATEST DEVELOPMENTS\n\n\n\n\n * Sudanese migrant arrested for attempted murder in Belfast crossed into Northern Ireland from Dublin\n * Manchester school in lockdown with pupil arrested after three people injured in suspected stabbing\n * Man jailed for life after stabbing partner to death before blowing up their home in gas explosion\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nIt can now be reported that Muhamadi absconded from the trial during proceedings, failing to appear at Sheffield Crown Court.\n\nGB News can disclose that he arrived in the UK via small boat as a child in 2021. He was then granted asylum in April 2022.\n\nBorders Minister Alex Norris said: “These men must face the full force of the law, and we are in close contact with the police to ensure Muhamadi is urgently apprehended.\n\n“There is no place for foreign criminals in the UK, and we will seek to deport them as soon as possible.”\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nSouth Yorkshire Police told reporters today that it immediately began a manhunt but had been unable to publicly appeal for help until reporting restrictions were lifted by the court.\n\nThe force said it was conducting “extensive enquiries” to find Muhamadi, who was last seen at 9pm on Monday 18 May in Birmingham city centre.\n\nHe then travelled in a taxi from the centre towards Coventry Road and the Small Heath Park area, southeast of the city.\n\nThe force said it did not know where Muhamadi travelled from there, but that its officers were “determined to find him and are now appealing for the public’s help.”\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nAssistant Chief Constable Hayley Barnett said: “Our priority has been and will continue to be securing full justice for the victims tragically involved. They have shown commendable bravery throughout our full investigation and the complex trial which followed.\n\n“We are wholly focussed on finding Muhamadi and ensuring his faces the consequences of his actions.”\n\n“Officers have been relentlessly pursing all lines of enquiries. We are keeping an open mind of his whereabouts.
