"textContent": "\n\n\n\nA huge fire has erupted at a recycling centre in South East London, causing travel disruption across the capital.\n\nPlumes of black smoke can be seen billowing out from a building on Landmann Way in Bermondsey, above the Rotherhithe and Canada Water areas.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nFifteen fire engines and around 100 firefighters have been called to the scene, with London Fire Brigade urging the public to “please avoid the area while the incident is ongoing”.\n\nThe fire service said the incident was first reported at around 5.30pm, prompting crews from Deptford, Old Kent Road, Greenwich and surrounding fire stations to be deployed.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nTRENDING\n\nStories\n\nVideos\n\nYour Say\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nEmergency services have implemented two 32-metre turntable ladders, allowing crews to fight the fire from above.\n\nAmid the chaos, trains to and from London Bridge and Victoria are facing delays, diversions and cancellations.\n\nSoutheastern Railway said: \"We have received reports of a fire on a property near the railway in the London Bridge area.\n\n\"Trains may be diverted to and from London Victoria.
