Oura Ring 5 is now available to preorder.

Despite some whispers pointing to a** delayed release sometime next year** , Oura will launch its hotly anticipated new smart ring in the UK on June 4, 2026. If you want to be one of the first to wear this tech-packed jewellery, you should preorder the Oura Ring 5 from its online store and Amazon UK.

Oura Ring 5 has been re-engineered and reconfigured for more precise personal health data, the Finnish company says. Due to release in the UK on June 4, Oura Ring 5 boasts larger, smarter, and more efficient sensors to bring "research-grade accuracy" in the smallest form factor yet

The Finnish health technology company, stylised as Ōura in its marketing materials, claims that its Ring 5 is the "most accurate generation yet" and capable of monitoring over 50 different health and fitness metrics, including daily activity, sleep stages, heart health, body temperature, and stress levels.

Unlike fitness-focused wearables, like Samsung Galaxy Watch, Fitbit, or Apple Watch, which sport a high-resolution screen, Oura has opted for a subtler design that's (almost) indistinguishable from a traditional piece of jewellery. Without a display, Oura Ring offers much longer battery life, avoids adding __another screen to your everyday life, and means the device can be smaller and lighter – making it more comfortable during intensive activities and sleep.

But don't be fooled by its diminutive form-factor, behind-the-scenes, Oura Ring is crammed with sensors to monitor fitness and wellbeing around the clock. You can view all of the data collected by the ring in the companion app, available on iOS and Android, and check insights and recommendations to improve your health and fitness habits.

In the coming weeks, Oura will launch Health Radar — a proactive check within its smartphone app that continuously scans cardiovascular and respiratory signals in the background, surfacing patterns worth paying attention to, so you can stay ahead of your health, rather than simply react to it.

That includes blood pressure signals, sending a notification when Oura detects patterns that could indicate cardiovascular strain, and a built-in feature to help track GLP-1 doses, side effects, weight, and biometrics if you're taking Wegovy, Ozempic, or Mounjaro.

Oura claims that its latest lineup of smart rings can deliver a pulse signal up to 100x stronger than wrist-based wearables to bolster accuracy. And the Finnish engineers have managed all of this while dramatically shrinking the Oura Ring compared to its predecessors.

Oura claims its latest wearable is the "world’s smallest smart ring", with 40% smaller hardware than Oura Ring 4. The Oura Ring 5 boasts a width of 6.09 mm and thickness of just 2.28 mm. That's about the same as two credit cards stacked on-top of one another, or one of your house keys. Yes, it's that thin.

To achieve this breathtakingly thin design, Oura has shrunk all of the sensors encrusted into the inside of its smart wearable. These are also more efficient, since there's less room for a lithium-ion battery inside the thin design.

While there might be less room inside this svelte smart ring for battery, Oura Ring 5 still boasts longer battery life than its predecessor. The health-focused brand says you can expect between 6 - 9 days of usage on a single charge.

The Oura Ring 5 Charging Case, which isn't included in the box, means you'll be able to stay powered up for up to one month of battery and wireless charging on-the-go. The matchbox-sized, aluminium case is designed to fit into your pocket, carry-on suitcase, or gym bag. It uses USB-C to connect to the wall plug.

Speaking about the new arrival, Oura CEO Tom Hale said: “Oura Ring 5 is a big step toward our vision of giving every body a voice. By reimagining Oura Ring 5 to be smaller and easier to wear, and pairing it with our most advanced software yet, we’re making it possible for many more people to wear Oura every day—and to benefit from the personalised, predictive health insights that come with it."

Oura says its Ring 5 can be worn on your index, middle, or ring finger.

That's different to most other smart rings, with manufacturers like Samsung recommending that owners wear the Galaxy Ring on your index finger to ensure the most accurate recordings.

Crafted from scratch-resistant titanium, Oura Ring 5 is available in six finishes that the Finnish brand says are "designed to blend in with your personal style". At launch next month, Oura Ring 5 is available in a choice of Gold, Deep Rose, Brushed Silver, Stealth, Black, or Silver.

Oura says its designers reimagined the Fold finish with "a lighter, modern shade", while the new Deep Rose "offers a rich, copper-rose finish with subtle elegance".

Whatever colourway you decide on, every Oura Ring 5 is waterproof up to 100 meters with an industry-standard IP68 rating. The titanium metal should be strong enough to withstand all your daily activities — whether you’re playing racquet sports, running, swimming, or snoozing.
