ITV Coronation Street's Alan Halsall 'splits' from girlfriend as actor makes telling social media move

Alan Halsall has allegedly split from girlfriend Ellie Dolan after a year-long romance.

The 43-year-old Coronation Street star and the 26-year-old HR worker are said to have unfollowed one another on social media, while Mr Halsall has also removed photographs of the pair from his online accounts.

The couple, who shared a 17-year age gap, appeared loved-up earlier this year when they posted a cosy New Year’s Eve snap together.

However, sources have now claimed the relationship has come to an end following what was described as a whirlwind romance.

Sources say Mr Halsall and Ms Dolan met at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Worsley Country Club, where he is a member, and she worked in human resources.

Their romance began in December 2024, shortly after the actor returned to the UK following his appearance on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

The pair initially kept the relationship private before making things Instagram official in May 2025.

As their romance progressed, Ms Dolan was introduced to Mr Halsall’s daughter Sienna, now 11.

The couple were also seen together at the Manchester wedding of his Coronation Street co-star Jack P Shepherd last July.

A source told The Sun: “Alan enjoyed a whirlwind romance with Ellie.

"They got on really well, and she loved spending time with his daughter.”

The insider added: “It was supposed to be a bit of fun but turned serious quite quickly and they soon realised it wasn't what they wanted.

"They discovered they were opposites and it wasn't going to work.”

Despite their strong initial connection, the relationship allegedly became more serious than either had expected.

Mr Halsall was previously in a five-year relationship with former Coronation Street actress Tisha Merry before the pair split in 2024.

Before that, he was married to actress Lucy-Jo Hudson from 2009 until their divorce in 2018.

Despite an initial bumpy separation, Mr Halsall and Ms Lucy-Jo are said to maintain an amicable 50/50 co-parenting relationship to raise their daughter, Sienna, together.

In recent weeks, Mr Halsall’s social media activity has largely focused on family time with his daughter.

Professionally, the actor recently signed a brand new contract extending his stay on the Cobbles as Tyrone Dobbs.

This milestone marks his 28th consecutive year on the famous ITV soap.
