WATCH: Reform UK’s Danny Kruger reveals plan for major Whitehall shakeup and ‘restoring power to No10’

Danny Kruger has announced plans to abolish the Cabinet Office and scrap the Cabinet Secretary role.

Speaking in a video address in Whitehall, the Reform UK MP claimed “the real power in this country isn’t in Downing Street” but was in the hands of senior civil servants.

Setting out Reform UK’s alternative vision, Mr Kruger said the party would “restore power meaningfully to No10”.

He insisted this would ensure that “No10 is in charge, not the Cabinet Office. The Prime Minister is in charge, not the Cabinet Secretary”.

“And then it really will matter who walks up Downing Street,” he added.
