Motorola just unveiled a brand-new Android smartphone that promises to be very kind on your wallet.

As if that wasn't enough, it's already on sale.

The Moto G37 is the latest addition to the G series, alongside the Moto G37 Power and Moto G47. It supersedes the Moto G35, which was launched in late 2024. It packs a 50MP main camera, quick-charge capabilities, and high-resolution audio for £220. But for a limited time, you can add the Moto G37 to your shopping basket for just £199.99.

It also arrives just as the brand released its latest Motorola Razr folding flagship lineup.

Here's everything you can expect from Motorola's latest model and how it stacks up against its predecessor.

Buy the new Moto G37 from Motorola for under £200

Motorola has launched the new Moto G37, a budget-friendly smartphone now available for under £200. Part of its popular G Series, it offers reliable performance, strong battery life, and a durable design. The phone features a 50MP camera, fast charging, and high-resolution audio

For starters, its main camera packs a 50MP sensor with the same Quad Pixel technology as the Moto G35. This combines the data from multiple pixels together to capture sharper, more detailed shots, whether you're snapping family moments or weekend adventures.

Compared to its predecessor, the Moto G37 loses the ultrawide rear camera and drops the selfie camera from 16MP to 8MP. It features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display, which means everything looks crisp and vibrant. This is only slightly larger than the 6.62-inch display found in the Moto G35, but smaller than the 6.7-inch display found on the recently released Samsung Galaxy A series.

For entertainment lovers, there are stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, Hi-Res Audio, and a Volume Boost feature that really pumps up the sound.

Under the bonnet, you've got a MediaTek Dimensity processor doing the heavy lifting. Although Motorola says it has up to 12GB of RAM, it really only comes with 4GB of RAM. The extra 8 GB isn’t real RAM — it’s just the phone borrowing some of its own storage space.

This could be due to the RAM shortage being seen across the industry. Sony recently increased the prices of the PlayStation 5 due to the shortage. British start-up Nothing has also confirmed that smartphone prices will rise this year.

The reason behind these recent surges comes from Artificial Intelligence (AI) data centres, which are taking up so much RAM that there's not enough left for regular consumer gadgets like the Moto G37.

It features a 5200mAh battery — only slightly larger than the Moto G35's battery — so you can expect reliable all-day power without constantly hunting for a charger.

When you do need to top up, TurboPower charging gets you back in just a few minutes quickly – ideal for those mornings when you've forgotten to plug in overnight.

Motorola has built this phone to handle everyday knocks and spills, too. It comes equipped with IP64 water resistance, so it can cope with splashes and dust without any malfunctions.

Like its other models, Motorola teamed up with the Pantone Colour Institute to create vibrant colour options like Fuchsia Red and Nautical Blue. If you prefer a more neutral handset, it also comes in a standard black.

You can pick one up from Motorola's website, Currys, Argos, John Lewis, Amazon, Littlewoods, AO, and mobile networks including EE, Vodafone, Three, and GiffGaff.
