If you're after a sharper view of who's at your front door, security camera company Blink has just unveiled its very first 2K video doorbells.

You have two options to choose from — the Blink Wired Doorbell 2K+ for £39.99 and Battery Doorbell 2K+ for £59.99.

Both are designed to capture crisp footage in 2K resolution, making it easier to spot visitors and keep track of deliveries. They also feature improved dynamic range, helping to keep the picture clear whether it’s bright sunshine or a gloomy evening.

If you’ve never shopped for Blink products before, it’s a smart home security brand offering a range of indoor and outdoor security cameras and video doorbells.

Blink was acquired by Amazon in 2017 and is positioned as Amazon’s more affordable home security line, especially when compared to more premium brands like Ring, which is also owned by Amazon.

Both new video doorbells are available to pre-order now on Amazon ahead of their May 20 release date, and you can save up to 40% for a limited time.

The Blink Wired Doorbell 2K+ is designed to help you keep an eye on your home with crystal-clear 2K video, head-to-toe viewing, and smart person detection alerts. Designed for continuous power through existing doorbell wiring, it offers always-on security and two-way audio with noise cancellation for easy conversations with visitors. Its weather-resistant IP65 design also means it’s built to handle rain, dust, and everyday outdoor conditions.

The Blink Battery Doorbell 2K+ is designed to deliver sharp 2K video, a wide field of view, and smart motion alerts to help you stay connected to your home. With head-to-toe viewing, two-way audio, and colour night vision, the device lets you clearly see and speak to visitors day or night. Its wireless design installs in minutes, while long-lasting battery life provides reliable security without constant maintenance.

If you want a video doorbell that’s always powered and ready to go, the Blink Wired Doorbell 2K+ connects directly to your existing doorbell wiring for continuous security. It records in sharp 2K resolution, helping you see finer details like faces, packages, and movement more clearly than standard HD models. You also get a wide field of view with head-to-toe coverage, so you can see visitors at the door and parcels left on the ground.

If you’d prefer a more flexible setup, the Blink Battery Doorbell 2K+ is designed for quick, wire-free installation. It runs on three AA lithium batteries and can be set up in minutes, making it ideal if you don’t already have doorbell wiring or want to place it anywhere. Once installed, you control everything through the Blink app, where you can watch live video, receive alerts, and manage settings.

The battery-powered version also adds a handy head-to-toe field of view, so you can spot packages left at your doorstep, not just visitors at the door.

Both models include 2K video quality, two-way audio with noise cancellation, and smart alerts that notify you when motion is detected. There’s also a smart alerts feature that summarises motion events, although this is currently only available in the US.

In terms of durability, both doorbells are built for outdoor use, with the battery model featuring an IP65 weather-resistant design to handle rain, dust, and changing conditions.

If you use Amazon Alexa-enabled devices, you can also connect the doorbell for hands-free monitoring and real-time notifications. That means you can stay informed without constantly checking your phone. One thing to note is a Blink subscription is required to receive these alerts.
