Kelly Brook has disclosed that she experienced significant stress and anxiety after opting for a comprehensive body scan alongside her husband, Jeremy Parisi, last month.

The 46-year-old model and television personality made the revelation during an appearance on Loose Women on Wednesday.

Speaking to her fellow panellists, Ms Brook explained that neither she nor Mr Parisi had been experiencing any health concerns prior to booking the private MRI examination.

"We were really torn whether to do it or not because we didn't have any symptoms of anything and we've never done anything like that before," she told the panel.

Both admitted to feeling apprehensive before proceeding with the preventative health check.

The private health screening is available as a preventative measure, designed to identify potential medical issues before symptoms develop.

"I said to my husband, 'Should we do it?' He was really nervous about it, and I was really nervous about it.

"But we went through with it, because why wouldn't you?" Ms Brook recalled.

The thorough nature of the examination meant results took approximately a week to process, during which time Ms Brook found herself increasingly worried.

She admitted to the panel: "But, at my age, I've got lumps and bumps everywhere. So, who knows what is benign and what's a cyst as you get older you just do!"

The model did not disclose the outcome of either her own or her husband's scans, as the discussion among the Loose Women panel shifted to the broader topic of health anxiety.

Despite her concerns about the waiting period, the lingerie model took to Instagram to share an image from her scan experience.
