  "textContent": "\n\n\nA plane has crashed into a low-rise residential building in the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte, killing two and injuring two others.\n\nShocking footage shows the moment the small aircraft circles the built-up area before plummeting into the building.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nThe ⁠pilot and co-pilot have died, while the remaining passengers are ⁠in a serious condition, the local fire department ⁠has said.\n\nThe aircraft took off from Pampulha Airport with the three passengers on board at 12.16pm local time.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nTRENDING\n\nStories\n\nVideos\n\nYour Say\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nEmergency services were then called to to the scene of the crash at 12.25pm.\n\nThe pilot had reported to the Pampulha Airport control tower before the collision that he was having \"difficulties taking off\".\n\nIn the horror footage, the aircraft is seen circling the Silveira area of Belo Horizonte before colliding with a low-rise building.\n\nLieutenant Raul of the Fire Department said of the crash: \"It [the aircraft] hit between the third and fourth floors, in the stairwell.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n\"If it had hit the sides, it could have struck some residences; those apartments were occupied.\n\n\"What we saw was the structure of the aircraft projected inside the stairwell, without hitting any other apartments.\"\n\nEarlier reports following the crash had confirmed that the pilot was trapped within the wreckage of the airplane before their death.\n\nAccording to local reports, no one in the building was injured.\n\n### LATEST DEVELOPMENTS\n\n\n\n\n  * Two dead and several injured after car rams into crowds in Germany\n  * Austria brands three Russian diplomats 'personae non gratae' after 'spying antenna' erected on roof\n  * US denies navy warship struck by two missiles in Strait of Hormuz\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nFootage from the incident shows a hole left in the wall of the building the craft collided with, with some the plane wreckage on the ground.\n\nAccording to the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), investigators from the Centre for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (CENIPA) are examining the incident.\n\nTeams from the Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents and Third Regional Service for Investigation are also on site to help with the investigation.\n\nThe Civil Police from Minas Gerais (PCMG) has also launched an investigation into the crash.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nAvani Soares, who lives in the building hit by the aircraft said she thought \"the world had ended\".\n\nShe told TV Globo: \"Everything went dark, a lot of debris fell, and I thought, ‘the world has ended.’ On the other floor, there were people screaming for help. I didn’t know what to do.\n\n\"Then I ran to the window because it had gone completely dark. Then I saw it and said, ‘it can’t be, a plane.’\n\n\"There was a strong smell of fuel.
