  "textContent": "\n\n\n\nThree men accused of planning arson attacks against properties linked to Sir Keir Starmer are set to appear in court today.\n\nTwo Ukrainian men, Roman Lavrynovych, 22, Petro Pochynok, 35, and Romanian Stanislav Carpiuc, 27, are charged with conspiracy to damage property by fire.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nThe charges relate to incidents between April 1 and May 13 last year.\n\nMr Lavrynovych is also charged with damaging two properties by fire with intent to endanger life on May 11 and 12 last year.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nTRENDING\n\nStories\n\nVideos\n\nYour Say\n\nOn May 8, a car formerly owned by the Prime Minister caught fire.\n\nThen, a fire was started on May 11 at the front door of a home converted into flats in Islington, north London, it is alleged.\n\nThe next day, another fire was lit at the Kentish Town home where Sir Keir lived before he moved into Downing Street.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nThere was allegedly damage to the property but nobody was hurt in the blaze.\n\nThe trial started at the Old Bailey on Monday, as the jury was sworn in to try the case.\n\nOpening arguments will begin today, with Duncan Atkinson KC expected to start for the prosecution.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nOn Monday, Mr Lavrynovych denied two alternative charges of damaging property by fire \"being reckless as to whether life is endangered\" relating to the same two incidents.\n\nAll three men have pleaded not guilty to the charges.\n\nThe trial is expected to continue until the end of May.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n**Our Standards: The GB News Editorial Charter**",
