"textContent": "\n\n\nJet2 has called for the creation of a national database for disruptive passengers after chaos broke out on a flight heading to Britain on Monday.\n\nThe incident - which was caught on camera - saw an allegedly drunken traveller threatening staff and fellow passengers in a furious tirade of abuse.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nAs he squared up to cabin crew, the man could be heard shouting: “I’m ready! I’m ready now! I need this! I’m Irish.”\n\nHis two children travelling with him could be seen crying throughout, as the unruly passenger told staff: “I’ll smash your back door, you p****.**__** F**** c***!\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nTRENDING\n\nStories\n\nVideos\n\nYour Say\n\n“Come to me and your pal. Come! D*******__ c***!”\n\nHe then proceeded to \"smash\" the cabin crew member's \"f****** face in\", before threatening to kill him, The Sun revealed.\n\nJet2 deemed the chaotic scenes to be so serious that bosses have now called for a national database for airlines.\n\nThe airline wants known yobs to be banned from flying from every UK carrier.\n\nAfter the man had abused staff, other holidaymakers had enough of his behaviour and stepped in to intervene.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nBut a 60-year-old woman was accidentally hit after the disruptive passenger and another traveller became embroiled in a scuffle.\n\nThe pilot then attempted to calm the man down, instructing him to stay quiet and settle down over the tannoy system.\n\nHowever, he barked back: “What you going to do?! What you going to do?! Nothing!”\n\nThe man was travelling with his partner - who is also alleged to have been heavily intoxicated - and two young children at the time.\n\n### FLIGHT MAYHEM - READ THE LATEST:\n\n\n\n\n * Jet2 flight forced into emergency landing in Manchester after collision with geese\n * Gatwick Airport forced to close gate for six hours due to swarm of bees\n * Easyjet refused to postpone stag do flights after groom's daughter was diagnosed with brain tumour\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nThe flight - which departed Antalya in Turkey at 8pm for London Gatwick - was forced to divert to the Buglarian capital of Sofia after cabin crew lost control.\n\nPolice boarded the aircraft and swiftly hauled off the abusive man and his family.\n\nOne traveller who witnessed the chaotic scenes unfold told The Sun: “The drunk bloke was rowing with his partner in front of his kids, and threatening to punch her.\n\n“It was upsetting and begs the question how on earth were they allowed to board the plane and put the flight and other passengers at risk.”\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nAnother described it to the newspaper as the \"ultimate flight from hell\".\n\nThey claimed the carnage began when the couple were heard shouting at each other at the departure gate, as well as heavily drinking.\n\nThe source added: “The yob was screaming at passengers and crew and making threats. It was alarming and terrifying at 30,000 feet with nowhere to turn.\n\nIn a statement, Jet2 said: “Flight LS3110 from Antalya to London Gatwick diverted to Sofia yesterday – Monday 27th April – so that police could offload two disruptive passengers.\n\n“As a family-friendly airline we take a zero-tolerance approach to disruptive passenger behaviour, and we can confirm that we have banned these two passengers from flying with us for life.\n\n“We will vigorously pursue them to recover any losses that we incurred as a result of their behaviour – and we will not hesitate to use the courts.\n\n“We will fully support the police with any subsequent investigations. This has led to custodial sentences in the past, demonstrating the very serious consequences that this behaviour can result in.\n\n“In addition, we are lobbying for the creation of a national database so that as well as being banned from flying with us, disruptive passengers will also be banned from flying with other UK airlines.”\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n**Our Standards: The GB News Editorial Charter**",
