Brighton score late against Tottenham as Premier League relegation fight takes fresh twist

The Premier League relegation battle took a fresh twist on Saturday, with Tottenham drawing 2-2 with Brighton.

Spurs went into the showdown on the back of a torrid run of form that has seen them winless in their last 14 league matches.

They went ahead through Pedro Porro in the 39th minute, with the defender rising highest to head home a pinpoint delivery from Xavi Simons.

Kaoru Mitoma then levelled for Brighton, only for Simons to fire Spurs ahead. However, with just minutes remaining, Brighton struck late through Georginio Rutter to earn a draw.
