A famous London hotspot has been named among the best foodie destinations in the world, with new global research showing the world’s most highly rated food markets.
The study analysed thousands of online reviews to uncover which markets consistently deliver standout food experiences. While the top spot goes overseas, London’s iconic Borough Market took second place globally, making the capital a must-visit for food lovers.
Topping the list is Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia, USA, widely praised by visitors as a “must-visit” destination packed with variety.
From classic Philly cheesesteaks to fresh doughnuts and ice cream, it offers something for every palate, according to research by AllClear.

Next, Borough Market continues to draw crowds thanks to its vibrant atmosphere and diverse food offerings. Visitors regularly highlight everything from indulgent raclette dishes to artisan street food, making it one of the most exciting places to eat in the UK.
Completing the top three is Adelaide Central Market in Australia, another firm favourite among travellers looking to sample local flavours in one place.
