England World Cup warm-up clash delayed after Uruguay player stretchered off with injury

The England World Cup warm-up clash against Uruguay was delayed after Joaquin Piquerez was stretchered off early in the first half.

The defender went to the ground clutching his leg after the Three Lions were awarded their second corner kick of the game.

Medical staff at Wembley rushed on to the pitch were the began treatment.

After a delay of around five minutes, he was subbed off for Jose Maria Gimenez.
