"textContent": "\n\n\nA mob of teenagers plunged a US petrol station into chaos as youths stormed the store and vandalised its aisles.\n\nOn March 19 in Sacramento, California, a Chevron station on Folsom Boulevard fell victim to a marauding group of teens.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nPolice said officers received a call that between 25 and 30 juveniles were involved in the incident.\n\nCCTV footage shows a large group of teenagers throwing snacks and ransacking the store, with a single employee, store manager Shailesh Chand, left to handle the chaos alone.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nTRENDING\n\nStories\n\nVideos\n\nYour Say\n\nDays later on March 23, Sacramento police filed a robbery report for the items stolen during the incident.\n\nSurveillance video showed a small group of teenagers entering the store before the incident quickly escalated.\n\nWhat started as a small group turned into dozens of teenagers knocking items off shelves, throwing snacks and drinks and wrecking aisles.\n\nMr Chand told Fox 40 KTXL the teens \"feel that they can just walk in any store and pick up things and throw things and do whatever they can do and run away\".\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nHe said he was left shaken as the situation spiralled out of control.\n\nSnacks including crisps and sweets were thrown through the aisles - while Mr Chand was forced to endure the teenagers lobbing candy directly at him.\n\nHe added that incidents which went beyond typical shoplifting were becoming more frequent.\n\n\"People who do all these things, they tend to be hostile, also aggressive,\" the store manager said.\n\n### LATEST FROM AMERICA:\n\n\n\n\n * Air Canada pilot 'saved passengers' lives' with quick reflexes in New York airport crash\n * Huge explosion at oil refinery rocks US state as residents told to take shelter\n * Transgender illegal migrant handed just six months in jail for sick sex attack on New York schoolboy\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nThe store has had to repair its doors multiple times in recent months due to similar aggressive incidents, Mr Chand said.\n\nHe said the business was already suffering losses as a result of the current economy.\n\n\"With the current fluctuations of gas price, it’s kind of hard to survive in this business,\" he added.\n\nSacramento Police Department said the group may be connected to other disturbances that same night.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nIt added that it did not immediately respond to the Chevron incident because a formal report was not yet filed.\n\nAnother Chevron gas station in Los Angeles, California was ransacked in similar fashion in August last year.\n\nThe store owner said about two dozen high schoolers had took snacks and beer in what was described as a \"premeditated, organised\" theft.\n\nThe investigation into the Sacramento incident remains ongoing.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n**Our Standards: The GB News Editorial Charter**",
