  "textContent": "\n\n\n\nMartin Kemp has announced he is stepping down from his presenting role on Greatest Hits Radio’s Mix Tape programme after five years.\n\nThe 64-year-old Spandau Ballet star shared the news during this morning’s broadcast, confirming his final show will air on April 4.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nHis departure marks the end of an era for weekend listeners who have tuned in to hear his favourite tracks and personal anecdotes.\n\nJenny Powell has been confirmed as his successor and will take over from April 10.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nTRENDING\n\nStories\n\nVideos\n\nYour Say\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nShe will present the show every Friday and Saturday evening from 7pm.\n\nMr Kemp said his decision was driven by an increasingly busy schedule.\n\n\"I've had an incredible run on Greatest Hits Radio but it's time to let someone else share their Mix Tapes with the nation,\" he said.\n\nThe former EastEnders actor, who rose to fame in the 1980s with Spandau Ballet, pointed to his touring commitments as a key factor.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nHe added: \"I've got a busy year ahead with my Back to the 80s live shows, so now is the right time to step back and I know I'm leaving the listeners in safe hands with Jenny.\"\n\nMs Powell said she was thrilled to be taking on the role, welcoming the move from early mornings to evening broadcasts.\n\n\"I'm so excited!
