Oscars 2026 winners IN FULL: Who won big at the Academy Awards?

The 98th Academy Awards have come to an end - with Hollywood's elite coming together to celebrate another year in film.

One Battle After Another took home six Oscars, with Jessie Buckley and Michael B Jordan scooping the best actress and best actor awards in their respective category.

Britain failed to take home any of the acting Oscars up for grabs - the fifth year in a row this has happened, and the longest gap of its kind so far this century.

But one Briton - Warrington-born Frankenstein make-up artist Mike Hill - scooped the Makeup and Hairstyling award alongside Jordan Samuel and Cliona Furey.

Before the ceremony, Mr Hill, 56, called his nomination a "dream come true".

"When I was a little boy, about five-years old, I would walk to the canal," he told the BBC. "I would dig under the dirt - I don't know how I knew this - to get to the clay.

"And then I would make a menagerie of these creatures - Frankensteins, King Kongs and Wolf Men.

"Since I can remember, I've been into this stuff."
