  "textContent": "\n\n\n\nA murder investigation has been launched after the death of a baby in central London, the Metropolitan Police have confirmed.\n\nAt 7:30am on Saturday, police attended Horseferry Road, in Westminster, London after reports a baby had fallen from a height from a residential property.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nThe baby, just 18 days old, was rushed to hospital, but tragically was pronounced dead.\n\nA 43-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nTRENDING\n\nStories\n\nVideos\n\nYour Say\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nShe remains in police custody.\n\nDetective Chief Inspector, Alison Foxwell, who is leading the Met's investigation, said: “Our thoughts today are with the baby’s family.\n\n“The death of an infant is always an extremely tragic occurrence, and officers are making urgent enquiries around the circumstances.\n\n“At this stage, we believe the incident occurred within a domestic context, but we are appealing for anybody with information to come forward.”\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nHorseferry Road is in the borough of Westminster, in central London.\n\nThe road is adjacent to the River Thames and leads on to Lambeth Bridge.\n\nThe Met are urging any witnesses to call 101, quoting the reference 1596/14MAR.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n**Our Standards:The GB News Editorial Charter **",
