  "textContent": "\n\n\nPolice have seized 20kg of cornflakes during a £750,000 drug raid in West Yorkshire.\n\nOfficers have seized drugs worth an estimated three quarters of £1million along with cash, Rolex watches and around 20kg of Kellogg’s Corn Flakes during a series of raids in Pontefract.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nWest Yorkshire Police carried out search warrants at six addresses in Pontefract and Darrington earlier this week as part of an investigation into suspected drug supply.\n\nThe operation followed the arrest of two men in Pontefract on Monday morning, 9 March.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nTRENDING\n\nStories\n\nVideos\n\nYour Say\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nDuring the subsequent searches, two further men and a woman were also arrested.\n\nPolice said the raids led to the seizure of cocaine, cannabis and ketamine with a combined estimated street value of £750,000.\n\nOfficers also recovered around £10,000 in cash and a number of Rolex watches believed to be worth as much as £120,000.\n\nAmong the more unusual items discovered during the searches was breakfast staple in British households, corn flakes.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nPolice said they seized “approximately 20 kilos of Kellogg’s Corn Flakes, believed to have been stolen”.\n\nThat is approximately 30 boxes of the cereal, with a retail value of roughly £105.\n\nKyle Bates, 34, of Westbourne Road in Pontefract, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine, cannabis and ketamine.\n\nAlan Tonks, 47, of Greenhill Mount, Pontefract, has been charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, cannabis and ketamine.\n\n### LATEST DEVELOPMENTS\n\n\n\n\n  * Driver who went on ski holiday after killing teenage passengers sentenced to youth detention\n  * Romance conman scammed women out of £50,000 by telling them he worked for BBC and MI6\n  * Hate crimes against Muslims TWICE as likely to be prosecuted as those against Jews\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nReece Britnell, 23, of Poplar Green, Pontefract, faces a charge of possession with intent to supply cannabis.\n\nMark Bates, 38, also of Poplar Green, Pontefract, has been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine, cannabis and ketamine.\n\nHe has also been charged with possession of criminal property.\n\nAll four men appeared before magistrates in Leeds on Wednesday.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nA woman in her 30s who was also arrested during the operation has since been released on bail.\n\nThe court ordered that the men be remanded in custody ahead of their next hearing.\n\nThey are due to appear at Leeds Crown Court on April 9.\n\nEnquiries by West Yorkshire Police into the circumstances surrounding the drugs, cash and other seized items remain ongoing.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n**Our Standards:The GB News Editorial Charter **",
