Shooter arrested after 'firing multiple rounds into Rihanna's home while singer was inside'

A woman has been arrested after firing multiple rounds into Rihanna's home in Beverly Hills.

The shooter, described as a female in her 30s, was hauled in by police after the incident.

Law enforcement sources revealed the gunwoman drove up to the 38-year-old star's home before firing several times.

The singer, according to TMZ, is said to have been inside her home at the time - and is unharmed.

It remains unclear whether her superstar rapper partner A$AP Rocky or their three children were there.

Photos from the scene in their luxe California neighbourhood show yellow police tape, police cars and officers standing in the sunlight.

LAPD officers were seen shutting off the road outside the Barbados-born star's property after the shooting.

The force later confirmed officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of gunfire at 1.15pm local time (9.15pm GMT) on Sunday.

A suspect was located and taken into custody, it said.

Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Fenty bought her home - believed to be worth as much as $14million (£10.5million) - in 2021.

The 1930s mansion, which sits across the road from Sir Paul McCartney's own pad, can be found on a quiet cul-de-sac in the mountains.

It was previously owned by Mary Sheldon, the daughter of I Dream of Jeannie creator Sidney Sheldon.

Her other neighbours on the secluded street include Mariah Carey, who has been renting a home a few doors down for years, as well as Madonna.

Two years ago, Rihanna and her boyfriend offered fans a glimpse inside the mansion on social media.

A$AP, whose real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers, showed off its interior decor in a sweet birthday post for Riot, the couple's middle child.

Eldest RZA is three years old, Riot is now two, and their youngest Rocki is just five months old.

The home, as featured in the post, was decked out with hundreds of toys and family portraits.

In images from another of the property's many rooms, the rap star was seen holding Riot in front of a marble worktop covered in snacks and baby products.

In the background, followers spotted a black-and-white photo of the couple, as well as a bright orange and red painting of the pair.

A magnet board was also seen with the words "Riot", "RZA", "apples" and "boy" spelled out in coloured plastic letters.
