Man jailed for killing pregnant partner and children sentenced for attempting to murder prison inmate

A man who is serving a life sentence for the murders of his pregnant partner and three children has been jailed for the attempted murder of a fellow inmate at a maximum security prison.

Damien Bendall has been jailed for life with a minimum term of 15 years at Teeside Crown Court over the incident at HMP Frankland in County Durham in 2024.

He is already serving a whole life sentence for the murders of his expecting partner and three children in Killamarsh, Derbyshire, in 2021.
