"textContent": "\n\n\nAn Emirati billionaire who donated £1million to Prince William's Earthshot charity has been sacked as chairman of DP World after he appeared to send emails and text messages with Jeffrey Epstein about a torture video.\n\nSultan Ahmed bin Sulayem has left the role of chair and chief executive of DP World, having propelled the Dubai-based group and earned himself an estimated $7billion (£5.1billion) in the process.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nThe Prince of Wales's Earthshot Prize has been reported to the UK's Charity Commission following the links with Mr Sulayem.\n\nHe was a \"Global Alliance Founding Partner\" of Earthshot and donated at least £1million to the climate charity.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nTRENDING\n\nStories\n\nVideos\n\nYour Say\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nThe documents in the more than three million files appear to show Mr Sulayem and Epstein emailed and texted numerous times.\n\nOne message allegedly showed Epstein asking the former DP World chairman how he was, then telling him: \"I loved the torture video.\"\n\nThe originally released version was redacted, and no findings have been made against Mr Sulayem.\n\nA spokesman for the Charity Commission told GB News: \"We are aware of concerns about sources of funding to The Earthshot Prize.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n### LATEST DEVELOPMENTS\n\n\n\n\n * William demanded Andrew be banished from Royal Family\n * Andrew's 60-strong teddy bear collection left behind in move from Royal Lodge\n * Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's green Range Rover spotted driving in Norfolk\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n\"We are assessing this information to determine any next steps and if there is a role for the Commission.\"\n\nThe Charity Commission's statement does not amount to a finding against Earthshot and the regulator has not announced any outcomes.\n\nThe Commission said it is assessing the information provided to determine what steps may follow and whether it has a role.\n\nGraham Smith, chief executive of Republic, told the GB News: \"William has lots of questions to answer about what he knew about Andrew and Epstein. And now he must explain his relationship with Sulayem.\"\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nMr Smith alleged questions should be asked about what due diligence was carried out.\n\nHe claimed: \"It is not credible to believe the Foreign Office, security services or other advisors were not aware of Sulayem's character and would have been able to advise accordingly.\n\n\"These files have been in the hands of US authorities for years. It's not believable that such intelligence would not have been shared.\"\n\nHe continued: \"Earthshot has a duty to do due diligence, to ask questions about donors and where money is coming from. Did they do that here?\"\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n###\n\n\n\n\nMr Smith stated: \"In the context of this widening scandal we need answers.\"\n\nDP World is listed as an official Earthshot partner on the prize's website.\n\nGB News has contacted DP World, Kensington Palace and The Earthshot Prize for a statement.\n\n###\n\n\n\n\n**Our Standards:The GB News Editorial Charter**",
