Centrifugal air filter (10) for a vehicle system (12), with a plurality of individual separators (22) that set an air stream (24) passing through them into a swirling motion, so that particles (26) contained in the air stream (24) are hurled into a separation area (28) surrounding the individual separators (22) due to the centrifugal forces thereby caused, and accumulate due to gravity in a filter housing section (30) that is located at the bottom with respect to a specified installation or operating position, wherein an intake connection (32) opens into the filter housing section (30), which is connected via a suction line (34) to a connection connection piece (38) exiting at a filter housing (36).
