The sealing portion includes i) a terrace portion extending across the electrode tab and comprising a first surface on a first case side and a second surface on a second case side and ii) a side sealing portion including an end contacting the terrace portion and an extension extending from the end. The protection circuit module is arranged on the first or second surface of the terrace portion. The end of the side sealing portion is folded in such a way not to spatially interfere with the protection circuit module.",
