"textContent": "A rechargeable battery protection integrated circuit that protects a rechargeable battery, by turning off a switching circuit inserted in series in a current path between a negative electrode of the rechargeable battery and a negative terminal that is coupled to ground of a load or a charger, includes a power source terminal that electrically connects to a positive electrode of the rechargeable battery, a ground terminal that electrically connects to the negative electrode of the rechargeable battery, a monitor terminal that electrically connects to the negative terminal via a resistor, to monitor a potential of the negative terminal, and a clamp circuit. The clamp circuit monitors a voltage of the power source terminal and a voltage of the monitor terminal, and limits the voltage of the monitor terminal to a voltage lower than or equal to the voltage of the power source terminal.",
