A reclining apparatus () includes: an internal gear () that has internal teeth () which are formed on an inner peripheral surface thereof; an external gear () that has external teeth () which have a smaller number of teeth than that of the internal teeth () and are formed on an outer peripheral surface thereof; a first wedge () and a second wedge () that are provided so as to be movable along a peripheral direction in an eccentric annular space between the internal gear () and the external gear (); and a striker () that has a pressing portion having a pair of first protrusion portions and second protrusion portions capable of pressing the first wedge () and the second wedge (). The striker () has a plurality of the pressing portions ().
