In order to provide an improved brake device of the above-mentioned type, which permits simple and reliable detection of the zero point and simultaneously has reduced noise emission on the return, a damping element is provided which permits a mechanical decoupling of the actuating rod unit from the cylinder piston in a release direction opposite the actuation direction by reversible deformation.",
