A liquid crystal light control apparatus (100) includes a liquid crystal light control film (120) and a power supply device (110) that drives the liquid crystal light control film. The liquid crystal light control film (120) has a structure in which a liquid crystal layer (122) is sandwiched between paired transparent electrode layers (121, 123), and is used by being adhered to a large transparent member such as window glass. The power supply device (110) supplies a predetermined AC voltage between terminals a and b of the liquid crystal light control film (120). A condition |Z0| ≤ α × RF is set where RF is a DC resistance between the terminals a and b of the liquid crystal light control film, |Z0| is an output impedance between terminals A and B of the power supply device, and a predetermined coefficient α = 0.2. More preferably, α = 0.05. In order to protect the power supply device, a condition Vp/Imax ≤ |Z0| ≤ α × RF is set where Vp is an output peak voltage of the power supply device (110) and Imax is a maximum allowable current.",
