AXIAL FLOW ROTARY MACHINE

This axial flow rotary machine is provided with: a rotor; a casing; a movable blade stage including a movable blade and an outer circumferential-side blade ring connected to an outer circumferential-side end of the movable blade; and a movable blade-side seal device that seals the gap between the outer circumferential-side movable blade ring and the casing. The movable blade-side seal device includes: an annular seal fin extending from the casing toward the outer circumferential surface of the outer circumferential surface-side movable ring; and a swirl breaker which, in a cavity formed on the upstream side of the seal fin, is fixed to the casing. The swirl breaker includes: a first plate-shaped member having a surface along a radial direction of the rotor; and a second plate-shaped member or third plate-shaped member having a surface inclined with respect to the radial direction of the rotor, wherein the second plate-shaped member extends from the inner side end of the first plate-shaped member toward the downstream side of the rotation direction of the rotor, and the third plate-shaped member extends from the inner side end of the first plate-shaped member toward the upstream side of the rotation direction of the rotor.
