SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GEAR SHIFTING MANAGEMENT IN COOPERATIVE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL

Systems and methods for transmission gear shift management of a vehicle having cooperative adaptive cruise control (CACC) are provided. A method includes: enabling an at least partially autonomous driving level for a vehicle via a cooperative adaptive cruise control (CACC) mode of the vehicle; determining one or more CACC vehicle states; updating a predictive gear shifting circuit based on the one or more CACC vehicle states; determining a transmission shift event based on the updated predictive gear shifting circuit; and implementing the determined transmission shift event.
