The present disclosure provides a separator for a lithium secondary battery, including a porous polymer substrate; and an inorganic coating layer present on at least one surface of the porous polymer substrate, the inorganic coating layer including core-shell composite particle precursors, wherein the core-shell composite particle precursors include a core portion and a shell portion covering at least a part of a surface of the core portion, wherein the core portion includes inorganic particles, and wherein the shell portion includes an acrylic monomer or oligomer.
