The battery management apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a profile obtaining unit configured to obtain a differential profile representing a corresponding relationship between a voltage and a differential capacity of a battery; and a control unit configured to determine a feature point included in a preset reference voltage section of the differential profile and determine a state of the battery based on the determination result of the feature point.
