Provided are an electronic device and method for providing content to a user. The method includes, based on text of the user, obtaining content corresponding to the text and being adaptive to the user, wherein the obtained content is adaptive to the user based on information regarding the user, which is collected based on the user's behavior on the electronic device; and providing the obtained content to the user.
