The method includes: collecting (S100) of sensor data from various sensors, the sensor data are associated with brake events; determining (S200) at least one brake performance value (BPV1, BPV2, BPV3) using the sensor data based on at least one of the following analyses: (i) a statistical analysis (S230) based on a multiple regression; (ii) a brake force loss analysis (S220) based on a comparison of wheel speed values of different wheels; (iii) a suspension deflection analysis (S210) based on a comparison of deflections of wheel suspensions while braking.
