A wheel hub drive unit in which a housing (500) arranged in the wheel hub (110) forms a sealed electric machine chamber equipped with an electric drive machine (200), a sealed reduction gear chamber equipped with a reduction gear (400), and a brake chamber connected to the external environment and equipped with a brake (300), wherein the reduction gear chamber and the brake chamber are distributed along an axial direction extending away from a wheel hub mounting surface; the electric machine chamber comprises a base body (Q1) arranged close to the inner circumferential surface of the wheel hub and a passage (Q2) extending in the direction toward the central axis of the wheel hub; the output end of the electric drive machine is guided through the passage and subsequently extended out of the electric machine chamber and simultaneously connected to the input end of the transmission gear and the output end of the brake, and wherein the output end of the reduction gear is connected to the wheel hub; and in the housing (500) a support bearing is arranged between a position close to the radial inner end of the passage and the rotor holder, which is used to support the rotor holder (230). The reduction gear (400) can simultaneously amplify both the drive torque and the braking torque and reduces the dynamic requirements on the electric drive machine and the brake; and the further approximation of the support bearing to the central axis of the wheel hub reduces the requirements for its reliability and durability.
