Track drive unit (3) for a track undercarriage of a civil tracked vehicle (1) with a chain arrangement (5) that is guided circulating over an end-side drive wheel (9), an opposing idler wheel (6) as well as over several rollers (7, 8), wherein an idler wheel suspension and a roller suspension adjacent to the idler wheel suspension are in operative connection with one another by means of a coupling mechanism, wherein the idler wheel suspension and the roller suspension each have their own pivot axis (12, 22) which are spaced apart from one another.
