The invention relates to a bogie (10) of a railway vehicle comprising two pairs of wheels (14). The wheels (14) of a pair are connected to one another by a connecting device to form an axle (28). The axles (28) are connected to one another by a frame (12). Each of the axles (28) is articulated to the frame (12). The frame (28) comprises two cross-members (20, 22). The bogie comprises at least one motor (16). The two cross-members (20, 22) define between them an internal space (E). The motor (16) is located outside the internal space (E), the motor (16) being located in an elevation direction (Z) above the plane comprising substantially the central axis (W) of the two axles (28).
